Original review: July 17, 2019This is an old review but I’ll send it anyway. Back in early 2006 I started chatting with another POF member. We mostly kept it epistolary until five or six months later when we finally met face to face. We met at a Japanese restaurant, ate and talked until they closed. I must say we hit it off, later closed our POF accounts and got married in a Japanese park the following year. Today I can truly say we are still married going on eight years in a marvelous and wonderful relationship!
Removing Meet Me profiles so new ones can come through! Page 1 of 1 'Not to worry, i bet soon that option will become a 'upgrade'.' That's not a bad candidate for a pay upgrade. Because it's not a currently free feature - so why not? So long as it's pay from the beginning and there's no 'bait and switch' involved.
Original review: April 15, 2019I was recently scammed by a STEVEN., whom I fell in love with for over 10 months, he took all my savings and loans, lost my house and car in the process, he keeps asking for more money to come see me and things from where he is keeps coming up, claimed to live in OK and Michigan and went to both addresses. Nobody has seen the person before, went to the army he serving, they have no record of him, I was more than devastated when he continued with the story after I caught him, in a bid to recover my hard earn money I contacted the FbI, who later gave me a tutoring. I was catfished in a love scam and there was little to nothing they could do about it, was able to hire a private eye who helped. Hired www recoveryknight.com, was able to trace my suppose born in Michigan Major to west Africa, he was able to get access through the details he provided me and was able to pay back $620,300 and still reported him his government after, this was a lot from where I was. So if you’re going through this get help and get your funds back. You can thank me later.
This helps get you back on track. Original review: Feb. 15, 2019First of it was free! I tried 3 other sites prior to this one which weren't free, and they were busts. Second it had a good chemistry test and enough space for writing your profile. The% of chemistry you shared with potential matches was helpful.
It was easy to use and communicate with others. It wasn't hard to use if you had to update information or tweak details.
I eventually found my match, after only having to meet two men, the second one was my match. We have been together for 6 years now and have just celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary!
We are both so thankful to this site for helping us find each other. It honestly is a great site to utilize and I strongly recommend it. And again it was FREE!
Original review: Sept. 25, 2019I have created a profile and was logging in with no problem. On the third day tried to log in and it said my credentials are not valid. I contacted POF and their response was I removed my account. I did not remove my profile. So, I created another new profile and the exact same thing happened.
Of course they say can’t help me. They have my photos, email address and phone number for verification. It seems odd they cannot verify my account but they have my information.
Since this has happened twice, may need to change my phone number and email address. They need to be sued and shut down with all the problems they are having and for fraudulent information how they are the #1 dating website. Original review: Sept.
22, 2019POF does not seem to care about catching fraudulent users. They don't detect actual GEO location as a means of validating actual user locations - I have had so many accounts where the person was actually in Ghana Africa, but claimed to be in my city. All fake accounts. Also, there is an ongoing scam about POF video chat where the user ask you to join POF video chat; POF does not have Video chat- POF could end this scam by simply posting this directly on their site, but POF doesn't. I receive 'like's' from accounts at least 5 to 10 times a day from users running this scam- They want to get your credit card info. Original review: Sept.
21, 2019I have been on and off POF for two years now. Over the course of this time, I have noticed there are many fake profiles and scammers. It does not matter what state I lived in. Over a few weeks I would begin to see the same faces I saw in another state but different profile. I would be hot over and over by people who said they were widowers in their 60s with little children who needed a wife.
Always the same story with different faces. Then they would ask for money cards.
Overall I met one man in real life. I give this site a -0. Original review: Sept. 21, 2019I tried to set up a POF profile and each time, after filling out everything and writing about myself, I would click 'create profile' and be redirected back to the main site.
I decided to use another email and the same thing happened. I contacted POF by email and of course got nothing. Eventually later on in the day decided to give it one last try with the second email and change the username somewhat. I got past the create profile and added my phone number. I received the verification text and went on to add my pictures. After adding one I was then signed out and couldn't sign back in.
Forgot email doesn't work. I downloaded the app and I'm getting notifications that I got a match yet I haven't been able to gain any access or even show that I have a profile? It's beyond ridiculous at this point and have sent another email to POF expressing my annoyance. I'm just hoping there's not a profile of me out there now. Original review: Sept.
20, 2019I've been a Tinder member on and off for the past 4 years in good standing and never an issue. Always ethical! One day, all of a sudden my account was banned from Match, POF, OkCupid and Tinder and all affiliated companies, Match OkCupid, and POF. When I contacted the service team for each company (which is nearly impossible to find the contact info) they responded with a link to their terms of service and policy which they said I violated. They said they can't tell me why and I'm permanently banned.
When I asked for specifically which policy I had violated they couldn’t even give me any details. Then they no longer even responded to my reply to appeal. This is wrong on so many levels. I was a faithful paying customer and completely disgusted that they can do this to people who did nothing wrong.
Original review: Sept. 17, 2019I got suckered into signing up. I not a bad looking guy with a decent job and a car. My profile is like anyone else's explaining likes and hobbies. I seriously messaged over 100 girls and never got 1 response!
I'm thinking either they're fake profiles, these girls are really really picky and want to date 6ft tall models with 1million in their bank account or I'm just really bad at dating which isn't true because I actually attract a lot of decent looking girls in real life at work and school. I've been hit up by escorts or strippers wanting me to check out their webcam. POF is a really bad site for dating and is WASTE OF MONEY. DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON THIS SITE. I was an idiot.

What is Plenty Of Fish ‘Meet Me’?As a member of Plenty of Fish dating site about once or twice a day I get an email from POF indicating that a plenty of fish user wants to meet me. It looks like the email below:When you click on the link you are directed to a page that looks like this image:I wouldn’t have a problem upgrading on POF to see who wants to meet me if I knew they were all hot LOL. But most of them are not. Here is a simple little trick to see who wants to meet you on POF 100% free.If you have not thought of this trick yourself already you might just want to slap yourself when you see how easy it is. Visit.
Click SEARCH USERNAME. Copy and paste the username of the person who wants to meet you in the user search text box. If you like what you see then send them an email. You already know they want to meet you so there is a really good chance they are going to respond.I never really liked the idea of paying to upgrade on POF simply because all upgraded uses have that big thing on their profile that shows they are upgraded members.Maybe it is just me but when I see that it screams DESPERATE!!!!!!! Is it just me??Anyway – now you know how to see who wants to meet you on Plenty of Fish without having to spend a dime. POF Free Auto Clicker SoftwareBrand new program called the PlentyOfFishFast Auto Clicker program automates clicking the YES button on POF Meet Me dating section.
You’re kidding right? He’s ugly himself yet complaining about women on PlentyOfFish “I wouldn’t have a problem upgrading on POF to see who wants to meet me if I knew they were all hot LOL. But most of them are not.It seems as though PlentyOfFish has gotten wise to this trick of seeing who wants to meet you, free, because lately, when I get emails about someone wanting to meet, they no long specify a specific username but just saySomeone Wants to Meet You. Hopefully this is just some temporary thing. No big loss though as almost 100% of the time the women who wanted to meet me were not very attractive me me anyway.” He posts a profile example of some random woman commenting on her photo “Maybe it is just me but when I see that it screams DESPERATE!!!!!!! Is it just me??” And you say I’M not nice?
Didn’t take it personally, pointed out what a hypocrite he is. I don’t have to be a woman to point out a jerk, men recognize a’holes as a’holes too ya know.
And no dude, not a “fat gross girls he is talking about”. You came to his defense pretty darn quick, Are you EVAN?. On some websites those people who are said to want to meet you don’t even exist so when you send them a message you NEVER EVER get a reply! Membership money completely wasted! And as far as POF goes then why do these ladies who want to meet you not just send you a free message? Obviously they can’t bring themselves to send a message which is not encouraging at all! So you have to pay to see who they are.The email that advises you that someone wants to meet you does NOT come with their Username so you cannot do a Search for that person.
The Username was taken off as a normal part of the POF page. Now you have to pay for that, so the ones saying they want to meet you, you will have to pay for. Less features every year now. And the “Wants to meet you” is a joke anyway. It is just a roulette game.you just hit the ones you likeand it sends a message. It is all judged on a photo, nothing else. NIce to know someone likes my looks, but honestly, it means nothing else.
If you really want to meet someone for real, read their profile, and if you still would like to meet them, send a message!!! What can someone do? Say yes, or no? If they even say yes, doesn’t mean much until you actually meet them. You might find in real life it is not good, or very good.
You never know unless you try! Is rejection really the worst thing, or not trying at all?.
